Early Morning Musings

It is exactly 5:00 AM as I am beginning to write this. It is Wednesday. I have not yet gone to sleep, as I am troubled by thoughts concerning the actions, and behaviors, of people. I do not understand why people do what they do; the functioning of humanity. I have pondered the seeming meaninglessness of it all, and I cannot fathom what it is that generates allegiance between men. Indifference is an interesting, and scary, thing. It is the most absolute example of individualism; completely secure, and unaffected by that which surrounds you. What is it that fractures indifference? What makes people care for one another, and experience empathy? What compels people to be close to one another, and share things? What is the motive behind sharing secrets? What is it that yields love, and affection? Tendrils permeating the astonishing isolation that is ones consciousness. This implicit connection between people; the experience that is emotion. How does it come to be, and how is it determined to be secure? Emotions are so arbitrary, and relative. It is interesting how forceful emotion is. It permeates everything. To think objectively, is actually quite unique. So many are affected to the point of having compromised understanding. I’m really not sure.
